There are no statewide approved fill-in-the-blank self-help legal forms for use in the courts of Mississippi. Forms are available in the law library.
In cooperation with the Mississippi Access to Justice Commission to help provide legal services to under-privileged, low income families, a pilot program is on-going involving the following limited areas ONLY:
- Joint Paternity
- Emancipation of a Minor
- Contempt for Non-Payment of Child Support
- Uncontested Divorce (no children, no property)
- Simple Adult Name Change (not change of birth certificate)
It is always in your best interest to consult an attorney before taking any legal action. These packets do not guarantee success in the Court; use at your own risk. Please answer the statistics page and leave it with the Librarian when you pick it up, or with the Court Clerk when you file.
Samples of other forms are available upon request.
