HARRSION COUNTY BOARD OF SUPERVISORS APPROVES LOCAL PROCLAMATION
During a special called meeting Monday, the Harrison County Board of Supervisors approved a local proclamtion declaring a “state of emergency” in Harrison County. The declaration was recommended by Harrison County Emergency Management Agency Director Rupert Lacy as a result of the spread of COVID-19, a novel coronavirus within Mississippi and surrounding states.
The declaration will allow Harrison County the authorization of federal and state funding to aid in response and recovery.
The Harrison County Board of Supervisors also conducted a first reading of the Harrison County Pandemic Response Plan.
